Many have tried and failed to successfully apply microwave technology to glass
melting. It was through the efforts of Dr. Milan Hájek of the Czech Republic that
the technical breakthrough was made and the first successful industrial
applications achieved. This success lead to the formation of the company MICROWAVE GLASS TECHNOLOGY
(MWGT) Co.Ltd. We are located in Liberec, a glass town 100 kilometres north of Prague in the Czech
Republic. In 2000 we acquired the exclusive worldwide licence for the application of microwave technology in glass
melting. This licence is protected by patents pending throughout the
world.
